Wow, I can't believe that Emma is 3 years old today!! She is such a big girl now. It's hard to believe that it's only been three years since she was born. She has changed and grown so much in just the last year! Happy Birthday my sweet Emma.
This morning Buddy made her breakfast in bed. He did a great job. He made pancakes from scratch and then mimicked a pancake dish Emma had at IHOP when the movie "Horton Hears a Who" came out. So he stacked the pancakes and made some pink and blue glaze to go on top. We didn't have a sucker for the top, so he used strawberries. He is the best dad!
We did gifts this morning and she loved everything. I also made her a castle cake. And I must say it turned out pretty good for my first cake ever, and from the fact that one of the layers was crumbling a bit and making the castle look lopsided. Oh, well. She totally loved it and that is what counts.
