Testimony:
I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life. It is my life. And I am so grateful for it. The answers to where I came from?, why am I here?, and where am I going? are so clear through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I know Joseph Smith was called as a prophet of God to restore the Gospel back to the earth as it was when Jesus Christ was on the earth. All the ordinances and blessings are once again complete in this dispensation. The principles of baptism, the priesthood, and eternal marriage are real and true. The Priesthood, the power to do what God would do if He were here, is on the earth, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I know Christ lives. He taught the Gospel when he lived in New Testament times. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for all of our sins. And He died on the cross so that we could have the chance to one day live with God again. No unclean thing can dwell with God, and we are not perfect, there is no way for each of us on our own to become perfect. It is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all that He did, that makes this possible. If we do all we can do, the Atonement makes up the rest.
I believe in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book. A true history of the Ancient American people. Those people lived and saw Christ, just as those in Jerusalem saw Him. God loves all His children and wants each of us to have the opportunity to return and live with Him again.
I am so grateful for the sealing power. I am so grateful that my husband is married to me not just until death do us part, but forever. And our children are sealed to us forever. Knowing that makes my life even that much greater. I try that much harder, to be that much better.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know these things because I have studied it myself, and prayed about it, and had faith, and asked God if they are true. And through the Spirit I recieved confirmation that it was true and right.
I love my Heavenly Father. I love His son Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
