Politics and a 6 year old

Here's how the converstation went. . .

Will:  "Mom, did you know that 65% of students are voting for Barak Obama?  And 35% are voting for McCain."

Me:  "Where did you hear that?"

Will:  " On PBS, and I am a student so I am voting for Barak Obama."

except by now the name seems to be all one word with a mysterious O added in, so it's obarakobama.

Me:  "Well, we are voting for McCain, and besides, you can't vote until you are 18.  And it's good to vote for the candidate that represents the values you believe in."

Will:  "I guess I will be happy if McCain wins, but I will be really happy if obarako wins because he is the first brown skinned man to make it this far."

One word . . .  priorities. :)

Then he kind of lost interest on that subject and just sort of went off on all the info. he knew regarding politics, like. . .

Will:  "George Bush is really old, I mean he is really old.  But he is still alive.  Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president and he was shot from behind, he didn't even see the gun.  George Washington was the very first president, no one had ever done it before."

Me:  "Thanks Will."
