My Grandpa

I have been a slacker post girl.  My Grandpa Wadley's birthday was on Sept. 23, and I didn't even post one little thing about it.   So let me tell you a little about my grandpa. . .

Arvil W. Wadley was a very gentle, kind, man.  I never even once saw him get upset or angry about anything.
He always ate bananas, took us swimming, always got us Big Mac's on the way home from the pool, recycled cans like no other, loved sunflower seeds, drove a cute blue truck, manual transmission, was always, always smiling and was an amazing gardner.

Everytime I would call he would answer:
   G:  "Hello"
   T:  "Hi, Grandpa"
   G:  "Hello sweetheart."
He always knew it was me.

My Grandpa passed away on March 25, 2005.  We were living in Japan at the time and were already planning on coming to the states one week later, so I never really got to say good-bye.
I love my grandpa and am so grateful that I was able to know him for so much of my life.  I am grateful that my husband was able to know him, and that Will was able to know him even if it was just for a little while.
Love you Grandpa!!
