I first heard part of this poem from President Hinckley in one of his talks. I loved it! I loved the feelings and thoughts it gave me as I pondered on the last 3 lines of this poem. Do we really understand the choices we have? Are we really making these choices with deep thought and real conviction.
Sometimes in life, it is easier to follow the crowd, to do what everyone else is doing. There are issues that test our morals, and faith. Where do we stand? Where do you stand? Do you have the faith, hope, and confidence to take the road less traveled. To stand up and do what is right, even if you are the only one.
Do you dare to stretch yourself and learn new things, even if it is hard. Do you choose a career based solely on monitary options, or do you choose to do what you really love, even if it means sacrifice on your part.
Life is about choice. Life is about challenges. Life is about how we live inspite of the challenges. Have courage to do what is right. Live the teachings you believe and stand up for the principles you know to be true.
