Dinner is Served

I often wonder what dinner is like at other people's homes. Is it one of serenity where everyone lovingly, quietly, mannerfully enjoy's their prepared offerings of culinary delight? Where conversation is at it's best and we find out how everyone's day was. Is that what it's like at your house?

Here is what it is like at our house.

We all sit down to dinner:

"How much do I have to eat?"

"I don't like this chicken."

"Will, what is that sock?" "It's a sock full of rocks."

"What is it doing at the dinner table?"

"Stop spooning your rice over the table to your brother's plate."

"Emma, stop eating Tyler's rice."

"Stop shoving food in your mouth, please."

"Emma, where are you?"

"Please sit down."

"Please stop stabbing your corn with the corn end thingy's."

"Please ask for the salt, don't just grab it."

"Will, where are you?"

"Tyler, there isn't any more rice, sit down."

"Whoa, what is the death eater mask doing at the dinner table?"

"Are we done yet?"

"Stop eating your boogers."

"Next time, please cover your mouth when you sneeze, we all have your "stuff" on our food."

"O.k., we are going to have FHE now, everyone listen up."

"Please sit down."

"We are going to have a family motto, any suggestions?"

"What's a motto?"

"What's a motto with you?" hahaha funny, not.

"It helps to remind us of our goals as a family."

"How about Lion's den?" "or maybe, Alien people?"

"Hmm, I think we are done with dinner and FHE."

"Why does the dinner table look like someone threw up on it?"

"It's hot out today, let's go swimming."

Cheers all around. Dinner over.

BTW: Our family motto is: "Never Give Up, Never Surrender"
