Oh for heats sake.

The word to describe today is HOT. Not in the "oh man that was hot", but in an "oh, it's hot." kind of way.

Here's a recap:

9:00 a.m. Ty brings me his clothes for the day. Long pants and a long sleeved shirt. "you're going to be hot today." I say. Little did I know.

10:00 a.m. Buddy mows the lawn in the heat.

11:00 a.m. Buddy takes kids on an adventure. First stop, a place close by with some hiking trails, outdoor adventure in the heat.

11:30 a.m. I leave to run an errand, 20 min. in, the car starts to lose acceleration, then power. I pulled off onto the side of the road and called my handy, dandy Onstar people. They called a tow truck to come, but that took 50 min. so I waited in the car, in the heat. There were also packages to be mailed, containing chocolate. Heat, not so good for people or chocolate. (sorry Mancy, hope those chocolate covered cinnamon bears make it)

12:00 p.m. Buddy and the kids are at Home Depot. The fire department is there demonstrating fire safety, What is hotter than fire?? Not sure if it's the temp today, or the gear the kids try on and the smoke trailer they get to practice fire safety in.

1:00 p.m. Buddy meets me at the dealership. We leave my car there to get fixed. I join the rest of the fam on the days adventure list. Did I mention that Buddy's car has an A/C issue. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's hot.

"The trick is," Buddy says, "wait until you get a bit sweaty, and then you roll down the windows and the hot breeze cools you down. Once it's hot again, repeat the process." "Oh," I say, as sweat drips down, well, you know where.

3:30 p.m.: Hang out at the zoo until it closes at 4:00. It's hot. Another adventure item checked.

4:15 p.m.: Buddy dropped the kids and I off at a well known establishment to get some food as well as relief from the heat. He goes down the road to work to get his computer. At well known establishment, it was cool, however, the fit of Ty and the unruly behavior of Ems and Will make my face feel super hot as everyone is staring at the loving darlings.

5:00 p.m. Driving in hot car, we really should get that looked at.

5:30 p.m. Home, cooler.

Totally worth it when going to bed Will says to me "That was the best adventure today."

Even if some of us went into a heat induced sleep coma.
