It's that time of year again when love is in the air. And for me that means it's time to get crafty. Valentine's Day is about loved ones, especially my kids. It's about making heart cookies, making paper valentines and leaving a treat on the door of those you love. I remember my grandparents always leaving a bag of fresh made pizelles (flat cookies that looked like a snowflake or lace, so yummy) and they would knock and run and we would be so excited to find a treat at the door from the "mystery" person. My mom would leave treats on the doorstep as well and we would do the same for our friends and family. I don't think people do that anymore.
Anyway, Will needed to make a clever box for his valentines for school. Thanks to a friend on Facebook, we got a great idea and did a darn good job trying to implement it. Will did great in putting together his Minon valentines day box. Emma and Tyler will make boxes in their classes and we will put together the valentine treats for their classes. Fun times.
Valentine's day is a lovely holiday full of sweetness and fun. And don't forget, it's all about Amore.
