Wow, the month of June has come and gone
the speediness of it feels so wrong.
With lots of things we did all month
We always felt a great time crunch.
Emma turned eight and Achievement Day member for her
Then an amazing trip to the Bay area went by too much in a blur
My birthday in San Fran was the best ever
My husband helped me celebrate, he is so very clever.
Riv's, Derek's, and Ryn's birthday too,
Why not a parade, that's a really fun thing to do.
Baseball lasted the entire month
But you know sports, they take over, at least that was my hunch.
The month rounded out with Will's first campout as a scout
He and Steve had a marvelous time, I didn't see one pout.
A climb to the famous PG "G" was quite a treat
And little Caleb's birthday cake really could not be beat.
We love you June, we love you oh so much.
But we're sure glad to see you go for some needed rest and such.
So here's to July, hoping it's a calmer month
But with Emma's baptism, 4th of July, Pioneer day, a new home, and a cross country trip, we will be lucky just to hold on to our lunch.
So bring it on July, we will enter you head on
Just promise that you won't leave us too exhausted after you have gone.
