Video games. iPods. iPads. iPhones. Nintendo. Wii. DS. Kindle. And the list goes on and on. How does anyone know the right way to use and monitor these devices with kids?? I certainly don't know. We don't have TV, the kids don't use the computer much, they don't have any game systems, they do have kindles but are pretty restricted with strict parental controls. It takes a lot of work to be a parent that is anti-media in this media infused world. I try to think about the days when TV or the Telephone were just coming into existence, I bet there were a lot of people that resisted the idea and said I will never have one of those in my home, but pretty soon, they couldn't function very well in society without them. I feel that this is what will happen with electronics. Pretty soon everyone will have to have one to function normally in society, Sighhhh, how long can I hold out?? We shall see.
