Oh media, why are you so invasive at times, so necessary at other times, and so fun at the same time! Ugh, I struggle so much with doing the right things with media and my kids. Do I give them more freedom? Do I restrict more? Do I ban it all together? We have been trying a new media plan which has gone well. One thing that bothers me is the presence of media at school. Oh it's alright to have movies once in a while in class, or even have some computer games to help with spelling or math, but really, every single jr. high student needs to bring their device to school and play on it during every moment of free time? So frustrating when you are trying to use media as wisely as possible. I am afraid for how much unsupervised internet access our kids are able to have. Pornography, violent games, and other negative websites are so accessible if kids are given free reign of the internet.
