Is it bedtime yet?

At a store today:

"Emma get off the employee only ladder, you're going to fall and break your neck."

"Tyler put that glass sugar bowl down."

All the while I am trying to talk to an employee about something.

"Where are my children?"

To some older people:

"Oh, don't mind those out of control children, by the way, where is their mother.? Oh wait that's me."

Older Person:
"Honey, don't admit that."

hahaha, not funny.

"Don't touch that." "Don't touch that." "Don't touch that."

"Are they not understanding", I think to myself. "Wait, don't touch that."

Whew, we got out of the store without having to buy anything extra due to breakage. (and I did say please, many times, it didn't seem to help.)

Later: (like 20 minutes later)

"o.k. kids, the pediatrician finally got seasonal flu shots in, we are going over today."

"What, no no no shots."

"I will buy you a prize if you be really good and hold really still."

Emma: "O.k. mom"

Tyler: "No shot"

Will: "No no no no"

At the Dr.'s office:

Child #1 (not in any particular order to protect the innocent and the guilty.): Sat still, didn't move, great job.

Child #2: "I don't want a shot." "NO, I HATE THIS." nurse has to hold legs down, push head over, while I held hands. Shot was given while said child was in a horizontal position due to struggling, screaming, and lack of holding still. Kicking, did I mention the kicking. Shot is done: Child thrashing on floor, banging head on wall. Crying, crying and more crying. Throwing of book in waiting room, looks of wonder on faces of people waiting.

Child #3: Little resistance, not bad. (after watching all that went on with Child #2, it's a wonder this child even stayed in the room.)

To the nurse: Hahaha, glad this is only once a year. (If we are ever welcome to come back)

2 children got treats, one did not.

And it's only 4:00 p.m.
