(BYU campus today)
“It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore.
"However," he said, brightening up a little,
"we haven't had
an earthquake lately.”
Throughout this last year I have thought about the idea presented in this little quote, (yup, it's been a year today). Sometimes it's really hard to look beyond the hard things that are in your face, and notice the good things just a little bit in the distance. It's being able to look at life for what it really is, as opposed to what it seems to be. And I can honestly say that I have had many times where I have really been grateful that there "hasn't been an earthquake lately", as opposed to focusing on the fact that "it's still snowing".
And I think there is something to be said about that.
