I must preface this post with the very true fact that I do not like animals. I am sorry for those of you who love them, I just don't. I am allergic to most varities of animals and don't like the smell, dirt, maintenance, etc. I have kids, that is enough responsibility for me. My mom feels that same way I do.
So, imagine my surprise when my mom suggested that we get a dog. Whaaaa?? I almost fell off my chair. Needless to say sometimes as a parent we do things for our kids that aren't things we would normally do. Getting a dog is one of those things. This little peanut is going to fill a place in their hearts that has been empty for a while now.
