They do listen. . .

The other day Emma was eating breakfast and I was making lunch for Will.  I was singing one of the primary songs, and Emma kept yelling, "Stop singing mom, I don't want you to sing."  Which of course I said, "That isn't a very nice way to talk to me, I want you to talk in a nice voice."  And of course preceded to sing louder.  All of a sudden she stops and quietly says, "Mom, I need to talk to you,"  Me, "yes Emma, what is it?"  Emma, "will you please stop singing, it's bothering me."

Well of course I had to stop since she asked to nicely and politely.  So they do listen, every once in a while.
